Bridging Tradition with the Internet, SawYouAtSinai Enhances Online Matchmaking Network with Community Focus
SawYouAtSinai.com Introduces New Features for Affiliated Jewish Singles, Including
Listing of Event, a charity for orphans, Articles and Advice, and Internal Communication
System between Matchmakers and Members
New York, NY, July 6, 2004 – SawYouAtSinai.com, the Rabbinic-endorsed online matchmaking
network, today unveiled a newly designed web site with a greater focus on the worldwide
community of affiliated Jewish singles. Initially launched in November 2003 by CEO
and Founder Marc Goldmann, the site was developed following thorough examination
of the challenges that singles face during the dating process. Today’s announcement
brings new features to the site including a newly designed home page and an internal
email system that will facilitate feedback and discussion between members and matchmakers.
The former will lead members to information on: upcoming events throughout the Jewish
community (both exclusive SawYouAtSinai events as well as non-SawYouAtSinai Events),
Simchat Tzion- a charity that helps orphans who want to get married but can not
afford it, informative articles for singles, and dating advice through Clinical
Social Worker Rabbi Simcha Feuerman.
“By enhancing our site we are moving into the next phase of our expansion,” says
CEO and Founder Marc Goldmann, adding “We are now providing resources and services
focused on singles’ interests and needs, including an “articles & advice” section
that will be informative to singles of all ages and of varied backgrounds.”
SawYouAtSinai interfaces Jewish singles with experienced and pre-approved matchmakers
for a more private and screened online dating experience. Matchmakers undergo an
extensive interview process and are required to provide references for review by
SawYouAtSinai staff prior to their admission into the network. Once approved by
staff, they can only make a match with the consent of both parties. Unlike other
dating web sites, there is no public viewing of profiles and only potential matches
suggested by a matchmaker can access members’ personal information. The SawYouAtSinai
network platform ensures that matchmakers are connecting members based on detailed
profile preferences such as age range, religious level, location and personality.
This is also the first online dating site to be endorsed by Rabbis at the Rabbinical
Council of America, Yeshiva University and Young Israel. The site was designed for
Conservative, Conservadox, Modern Orthodox and Black Hat/Yeshivish Jewish singles.
About SawYouAtSinai
SawYouAtSinai.com is the brainchild of Marc Goldmann, a 35 year old management consultant
and entrepreneur who saw the need for a more private and screened approach to online
dating in the Jewish community. The Rabbinic-endorsed Jewish matchmaking site is
the only one that allows Conservative, Conservadox, Modern Orthodox and Yeshivish/
Black Hat singles to select a matchmaker as their own personal agent to finding
the right match. SawYouAtSinai.com operates on a highly specialized platform for
determining compatibility of members through a combination of personal input from
the matchmaker, matching criteria put into the system by members, and comprehensive
information about the potential match. Since it began running in November of 2003,
the site has accrued 4000 members, 100 matchmakers and has 5 matched couples to
its credit.
