The Uptown Singles Minyan is geared to singles: 30’s, 40's and 50's. This this Minyan can be described as participatory. “Cozy" or "haimish" is most accurate. Our services are organized and conducted entirely by Minyan members.
Attendees are encouraged to participate in whatever way they can, from leading prayers to helping with kiddush.
Informal groups led by knowledgeable members help people learn and improve their skills. Whether you want to learn something new or try something old, this is a place to do it.

About Steven
A native of Long Beach, California, Steven Alevy lives today on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He credits his parents Allen and Deanna, with instilling his deep Ahavath Israel and responsibility to his fellow man. Steven and & his family founded the Alevy Foundation in CA. They are involved in helping support a number of organizations that contribute to the building and strengthening of the Jewish community.
